In surface pretreatment via corona, flame, or plasma, test inks are central to quality assurance. They allow you to verify whether the treatment has achieved the desired effect—i.e., whether the surface energy has been sufficiently increased to ensure optimal adhesion. Additionally, they provide insights into the cleanliness of the surface (measured in mN/m or dyne/cm). Test inks enable process-reliable further processing and prevent adhesion issues, production downtimes, or complaints.
