arceram ULTRA
Ceramic Coating Detection Spray
Detecting Ceramic Coatings
A ceramic coating can be identified by its characteristic water-beading effect (lotus effect), in which arceram ULTRA rolls off the surface in perfect, spherical beads.
How to Identify a Ceramic Coating on Surfaces
A high-quality ceramic coating differs fundamentally from conventional waxes or polymers. It forms a strong chemical bond with the clear coat. Since this invisible protective layer cannot be seen with the naked eye, targeted testing with arceram ULTRA from arcotest GmbH helps identify its presence.
Application: Spray arceram ULTRA onto the cleaned surface approximately 3–4 times. If the ceramic coating is intact, the spray droplets immediately contract into tall, almost spherical beads.
On conventional, uncoated paintwork, arceram ULTRA remains spread out, wetting the surface over a larger area.
Application note: As surfaces can vary considerably, a suitability test should be carried out before each application.
Cleaning: After testing, wipe arceram ULTRA off the surface with a damp cloth.
